Speracedes nestles in the hinterland of Grasse at around 350 metres altitude. It's a long way from the noise and bustle of towns and motorways.
It is one of the small provençal villages which have learnt
how to conserve their authentic charms set against magnificent natural backdrop
of olive trees and other greenery.
Here you are never bothered by through traffic because there's only one way
in on a winding mountain road which snakes up the hill to the village. So
that it could become a commune, Spéracedes needed a church...in the end the
local residents, especially attached to their village, built it themselves!
Places to visit :
A number of prehistoric caves. Oppidum Oil mill with an 11 metre diameter
water wheel!

Walking. Fishing. St Croix Fête in July. (daily buses to Cannes, Grasse, Nice...)
